Process

The Sculpting Process

Four steps from the first call to a live site. Here is what happens at each one, what we need from you, and what falls due.

  1. 01

    Planning

We agree what it needs to do, who it's for, and exactly what's in scope.

    What we need from you
Your goals, any content you have, a few sites you like.
    What’s due
We agree scope and direction, and a 40% deposit begins the work.
An open sketchbook with a vase drawn from the front and from above, a pencil, calipers and a wrapped block of clay on a worn worktable
  2. 02

    Designing

One design direction, shaped with you over two rounds of revisions.

    What we need from you
    Feedback on each round.
    What’s due
One direction, developed with two rounds of revisions. 30% falls due at approval.
Two unfired clay vases side by side on a board, the second taller and more refined than the first
  3. 03

    Building

We build it to work on every screen. CMS sites come with an editor set up for your content.

    What we need from you
    Final text and images.
Vases glowing orange on the shelves of an open kiln at the end of a firing
  4. 04

    Launching

We put it live and hand it over, then fix any bugs free for 30 days.

    What we need from you
Access to your domain, and a last look.
    What’s due
The final 30% on delivery, then 30 days of free bug fixes while you settle in.
Finished cream and red glazed pieces on a shelf by the window, one vase wrapped in brown paper and twine
